Innovation is how you identify opportunity and then how you evolve, derisk, and present your ideas.

- Michael Peachey

Innovation is not about culture. True, there are more innovative cultures and less innovative cultures. And, both are critical to organizational success. But, culture by itself doesn’t cause innovation or make people more innovative.

Product innovation is a core part of Design and a process with tools and methodologies that can be taught at all levels of an organization, successfully and reproducibly.

Successful product design and innovation is like counting cards at blackjack. You make small bets until you know what’s in the deck. Then you bet big. And, win.

Michael Peachey leads a design presentation at UX Week in Belmont, CA

I’ve led workshops for teams in Europe, Asia, and North America and taught hundreds of designers, developers, and product managers how to work with a “split-brain” - executing on the objectives in front of them while at the same time inventing new features, products, processes, and business models. And, more importantly, I’ve taught executive teams how to build and manage a portfolio of innovation projects with the rigor and discipline they use to manage the execution engine of their organization.
